When walking the Strip in Vegas we saw a crowd gathered around a cop car. As we got closer we saw that a Las Vegas Metropolitan officer had another individual bent over the hood of his car with his hands held behind his back. Out came our camera as we’re big fans of personal accountability. Yet the footage we captured was a bit different than we initially thought we’d get…

  1. It kind of feels like he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. He’s being non-violent to the public and providing a service they want (well, at least that whiny woman sure wants it!). But there’s no doubt, he’s being paid with stolen money, and he’s getting paid to prevent crime (or file paperwork after a crime has happened), yet he’s not doing that.

  2. Well I have seen this many times living here in vegas and I guess I have mixed feelings. on one hand he is not being violent and is allowing people to have a little fun, and he is there awaiting a call to respond too and is there to be able to accept a report of criminal activity by a passerby.
But the fact of the smugness and the upright rudeness factor and how he just blew them off is totally dishearting. And to the fact that I have seen many times that the Metro Officers sometimes “many times” have the same attitude to victims of crimes.
And an officer of the people should always be able to tell you what oath he swore and be upfront with any concerned patron.
