Thank You Thursday: Eyre Edition

FINDLAY, OHIO – We’re at the home of Tom and Elaine Eyre, aka Pete’s folks, and they have been treating me and Ryan as if we were family. There are lots of other fols to thank, which is why we have another edition of Thank You Thursday.

Pete: are your ‘rents voluntaryists? !
Haha, great question Patrick. My old man has always been pretty much a live-and-let-live type of guy. My mom, especially as of late, has been involved in politics and even ran for mayor of our town when we lived in MN. I think now my old man pretty much agrees with me in philosophy but is more pragmatic. My mom (I hope) is starting to see that the use of force – even when it’s through people claiming to do good (i.e. gov) – is not ideal.
They’ve both been super-supportive of me and of MHD. My old man has been one of the most frequent submitters of feedback, which has been awesome. Regarding MHD, I’ve taken things from both of them – from my old man, my logistics/organizational/analytics (what Jason dubs “the libertarian Terminator”) and from my mom, my people skills/caring for others.
