The Motorhome Diaries Summit
JACKSON, WI – All current and former crew members of the Motorhome Diaries had the chance to spend a week together at the Jackson Motel to reminisce about our journey so far and to plan new ones. During our “summit” we prepared a vision for MHD’s future that we wanted to share with you.
As we’ve mentioned, the “Search for Freedom in America” will end in November. We’ll then then start writing essays about the search and life on the road to be included in the book. We’ll then find a video editor to hand 2 terabytes worth of video over to make a 90 minute documentary. The video we’ve been taking and posting for the “near real-time” part of the documentary has been rough so we hope to take the best footage to create a compelling narrative about freedom in America.
But we still have a gold and black motorhome and the Motorhome Diaries brand that we have become quite fond of so we needed to decided what to do next.
For months now we’ve been discussing what’s next for us, and for MARV, post-MHD. On the evening of Sunday the 9th we all convened in room 9 of the Jackson Motel. When asked “are we drinking or are we DRINKING?” we decided that it would be the latter. Much inebriation led to what I think is an exciting future for the Motorhome Diaries. In brief:
We would like new teams to use the motorhome to produce documentaries under the banner “The Motorhome Diaries Presents: . . . .” We would like proceeds from the book and documentary to help fund these teams to cover stories that advocate the voluntary society and take a revealing look at the violence of government. As an example, I’d like to helm a project about “My Tax Dollars at Work” and Pete wants to do a “tour of government violence” (Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc). Also in pre-pre-production are an update to Anarchy in America. There are many stories to cover and the most qualified individuals or teams that present the best ideas will have the opportunity to film a MHD documentary. Details are still being worked out but feel free to contact us if you’re interested and to share your documentary idea.
My time at the Jackson Motel with Pete, Adam and Ryan confirmed that these guys are all great to work and to be friends with. And by “work” I mean tirelessly promoting the voluntary society while revealing that government is a dangerously violent institution that should be declared illegal. All MHD crew members have an adventurous spirit and a mission to promote peace and freedom. New crew members will be vetted, as Pete has advertised, but will be welcomed into this close circle of friends.
We would like to thank Adam and Kathy for hosting our summit at the Jackson Motel. It will be another great memory from our life on the road. It was a great venue to host the inaugural Motorhome Diaries Summit.
So the Motorhome Diaries will roll on to further our mission of freedom. We think that it is our moral responsibility to spread peace, but it’s also a lot of fun.

I am glad to see that this project plans to keep on rolling after November. I’ve got a year of school and will have a feature documentary finished by next November/December. If the MHD running, I am strongly considering joining up in the future.
Hey guys, I’d be willing to work out a deal with you if you would like Free Patriot Press to publish the up-coming book – you will be able to keep the profits and get slightly increased availability.
If the vehicle’s not going to tour the US, surely it can tour another region of this planet of ours…

How can we make a deal, fellas? A buyout? A lease? A sublicense with options? A franchise? A consulting agreement, perhaps?
