Ohio’s NBC and Fox News Reports on the Motohome Diaries
FINDLAY, OHIO – On Monday, after an excellent stay in Vermilion, Ohio, we rolled into my folks’ place in Findlay, Ohio. Though this was a scheduled stop on our itinerary we were arrived a couple of days early after our schedule was changed thanks to the crossing guards in the Canadian Border Services Agency. But I’m not complaining, it’s been great. My folks have been great (as we touched on in our latest Thank You Thursday) and we’ve been able to catch-up on a lot of work, eat really well and a couple of days ago my girl Allison joined us, which has been pretty awesome.
And, thanks to my old man and some of his colleagues who had a connection to WFIN we were able to join Chris Oaks, host of Good Mornings! on Thursday and thanks to our media team (hat tip for this one to Mike Powers and Allison Gibbs) we were interviewed yesterday on Lima, Ohio-based WLIO, which gave the excellent overview of MHD seen above.
As we noted in the video and a few days ago here on our blog, we had joined up with the Findaly 912 Group, led by the very capable Steve McMaster, for a meetup and convoy to Columbus. This morning we arrived at the meet-up location – a Wal-Mart parking lot – and as I was topping of MARV’s gas tank was met by Bill, who informed me that his wife had caught the segment about MHD on TV the night before and told him about it which compelled him to drive 30 miles to join us and the others. I also met others who said this was their first such event they’ve attended. When asked why, they said they were tired of government being involved in virtually everything they do.I couldn’t have said it better myself.
I decided to stay back to spend time with Allison but when Jason, Ryan, Steve and Bill left, they were joined by about 35 others. Pretty cool to see. And it really underscores the growth of this movement – people who just want to be able to live their lives without having everything they do regulated in some way by the government.

I would like to thank Flip4Mac Demo for bringing me that video.
I’d just like to say that you guys are some of the best proponents the liberty movement currently has. You’re smart and well spoken and you get a lot of good press. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the hard work you are doing to make my life a little more free.
I checked out your itinerary and didn’t Salt Lake City, Utah! Think you’ll be rolling my way at all on your great Nationwide journey?
