Last week we were in the Belly of the Beast – Washington, D.C. Though we often found ourselves surrounded by politicians, bureaucrats and government contractors (whom A.J. Nock would have referred to as using “political means” aka force to acquire wealth), there were also many outcroppings of freedom fighters sprinkled throughout the area that are doing their best to stop and roll back the growth and scope of the State.

Over the next week or so we’ll be sharing with you interviews with many of these people to document the various strategies employed in the larger freedom movement (and have already shared with you one such video, an interview with David Boaz of the Cato Institute).

The video today showcases the very tangible and very significant work being done by those at the Institute for Justice, which bills itself as a the nation’s premier libertarian public interest law firm. You may recall the IJ name as they were the reason we stopped by San Tan Flat, a restaurant owned by Dale Bell outside Phoenix, with whom they had worked to free him from burdensome bureaucrats. I encourage you to check out their homepage and their Castle Coalition site, which addresses eminent domain abuse specifically and houses resources for activists.

On a more personal note, when I lived in D.C. I was fortunate to have lived with not one but two IJ employees (John Ross and Bob Ewing, who, along with Bob McNamera is featured in this video), which only underscored my admiration for the organization and its work due to their humility, dedication to the ideas of liberty and drive for self-improvement. I can say with no hesitation that I am glad they are on our side.

Keep fighting the good fight y’all!
