Help Decide MARV’s Base Color

As Adam recently mentioned we’re aiming to get MARV decked out with the Motorhome Diaries logo and those of our sponsors — basically turning our RV into a pro-liberty billboard on wheels. We’ve agreed on the colors — black and gold — but we’re at odds about which should be the base color (leaving the other for the graphics). So, we’re seeking your help in reaching a decision. Thanks in advance!

    I vote gold but only if it’s straight up metallic gold. Crayon-colored gold just won’t do.
    Also, you should consider the fact that a metallic gold will reflect heat and keep MARV cooler in the hot summer months.

    I’m with Whitney on this. Painting it black will raise your carbon footprint (and more importantly, increase cost of running your AC)

    I’m all for the black, but you could paint the top a lighter color or gold to keep it cooler. Perhaps the top could be a giant Gadsen Flag?

    I said but Gold would indeed be cooler (literally) in the summer. Black, on the other hand, will be warmer in the winter.

    Black decals will not show up against black, though, so consider that.

    Black looks more hardcore. Gold could end up looking like a school bus.
